Do u know about post dural puncture headache ?
It occurs when there is excess CSF loss when using a larger gauge needle for spinal anaesthesia.
It goes off on lying down.
In severe cases , a procedure called Epidural Blood Patch is done .
Anybody knows what it is ? The principle behind it ? Why should we use blood which is a good culture medium for microbes ? Can't we use any other thing ?
