What is RNA interference? What are siRNAs ( short interfering RNAs)?

The wikipedia article explains it all. siRNAs basically signal mRNA degradation. They are short strands of RNA that are complementary to parts of specific mRNA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNA_interference
